On ebay, 2 Ebay George Superman Reeves signatures to avoid, including a PSA/DNA certification

Is it possible for a PSA/DNA certified signature to be in reality a forgery? How much research do they actually put into certifying a signature?

Those are the questions I am asking after seeing this alleged George Reeves signature which has many things wrong with it, including adding an extra letter to his last name. I have about 150 examples of Reeves' genuine signatures from 1939 to 1959 and I can say he did not add an extra letter to any of them. Who does??? Names get shortened when the signer is in a big hurry, not lengthened. There are other obvious things wrong with it as well. In my opinion, the examiners did not do enough research before slapping their seal of approval on it.  My vote: Avoid. If you want to see it, the item # is 141283631587.

The 2nd Reeves alleged signature is so bad, one just has to scratch their head. It is not even close. It is from overseas, as often is the case. If you care to see it, the item # is  181454301100.

As always, you have to do your homework before you plunk down your hard earned money.
