I’m a big advocate of TPA. I have trusted sources, Epperson on all things music for an example, Heritage Auctions, etc. I’m writing to talk about a very good and a very bad “Quick Opinion“ service.

Again, anything music goes to Roger automatically. Best in the business period. For others, PSA/DNA has really let me down. They are flat lazy. Last two submissions, they stated they couldn’t find the auction item and I provided a direct link! When inquiring with Steve Sloan and others, they just ignore you. Won’t be using them again, plus they NEVER return an opinion early. One item they listed as “unable to render an opinion, please ship to PSA for full authentication”.....Hello, it’s an auction item, I’m getting an opinion BEFORE I buy.

The good? BAS. Grad at Beckett turns fast results and so far accurate responses for the same $10. I’ll be using them for all non music moving forward.
