Opinions On A Couple Thelonious Monk Autographed LP's.... Very Valuable or Trash???

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well. While searching around on ebay, i occasionally come across some very rare items. And yesterday while searching around, i came upon 2 different LP's that are claimed to have been signed by Thelonious Monk.

I have no experience at all with Monk and wouldnt know a real signature if it bit me in the face, but i have always heard that his autographs are extremely rare and extremely valuable. I remember hearing several collectors discuss his autographs a while back, and they spoke of them as being at the top of the value ladder among early blues and jazz giants. I personally have seen a few signed photos from time to time on RR auctions, and they always go for in the thousands.

So when i saw these LPs i was shocked to see such rare items, if authentic that is. They are from 2 different sellers and each have bids. If anyone has any opinions on these items, i would love to hear them. I dont collect piano players, but i still find Monk's life story very interesting. I have never seen a signed LP from Monk, and i imagine these could go for big bucks if authentic. Not to mention have quite alot of historic value. Maybe signed LPs from Monk arent as rare as i think, but i thought they were interesting enough to list them here.

Thanks for viewing and would love opinions on them.

Take Care

Carl

Those are authentic for sure. I have a beautiful one in my collection. Normally he adds "good luck always" with his signing. And yes, his autograph is rare and very valuable. Cheers Kris
