Purchased Sidney Crosby signed jersey off ebay from a seller with a lot of positive feedback. Problem is, this item was certified by GA and I know their reputation lately has not been the best and that scares me. The person who authenticated the item was Steve Sipe and the photos are below of the signature and COA  I was provided. The signature is of Sidney Crosby. Please let me know what you think and if I should bother getting it certified JSA as well.

The "S" looks very off to me. If you're interested in Crosby, you should stick to Frameworth.

Yeah it threw me off, but when I did a google image search on his signature I found quite a few where the "S" looked like that. I am going to probably have to have this item checked out by JSA.

I've never seen an "S" like that for Crosby but I haven't dealt much with Crosby.

Have you dealt with "Dan Marino's" signature much? I have another piece that was authenticated and appraised by "Parkwest Gallery" in Michigan if you wanted to check that one out. I will have to get the Crosby JSA authenticated and if its not legit, I will just return it. Thanks for your help.

I know nothing about football but you should post another discussion with it :)

The entire first half of the signature actually looks off to me, but the second half is comparable to some in person ones I've seen.

Yeah the I agree that the second half looks like every other Ive seen. The first half was the part I questioned as well, but I gambled knowing I could return it if it didn't pass another authentication process. I was just curious how other people viewed this since I have never collected his signature before.

I have a Crosby I obtained in person with the "S" like that....what actually throws me off is how clear the 87 is.
