hi all!

are PAAS autograph authenticators (http://www.paasautographs.com) an acceptable company to use to authenticate an autograph? if a seller had a "likely to be authentic" online examination e-mail attached to an autograph he/she were trying to sell, would that be considered a good thing?

i'm trying to educate myself and hope you guys can help! :)

I would recommend you giving him a call since you both are in Australia. Paul is a very nice and respected man, I am sure he will remove an item, if you can explain the issues you are claiming. He seems to be a very honest guy dealing with PSA/DNA, JSA and P.A.A.S.  After that can you please try to reach geegiddy (243Teal star icon for feedback score in between 100 to 499) in Oakleigh South, Victoria, Australia.

Thank you for your help

You are missing the whole point I am making. Why give you brand (business name) to other companies that sell fakes as this causes damage to your name. Of course unless you don't care as you are making money from them.

I looked at the other seller you told me to contact. I have to ask are you taking the piss? I only looked at the first item in his listing

This is a joke it's that bad. So far two of the three reputable dealer you know sell fakes.

Thank you for your help

I am sorry but I think you are missing the point. That is why it is better to make contact and not use blogs for this sort of thing. The second company is selling nothing but fake autographs in Australia. You are not happy with a jersey that you have seen on the Wicked Memorabilia site yet there are companies selling nothing but fakes all over Australia with nothing even being said or done.

Wicked Memorabilia looks to be a reputable and highly respected company in Australia. I have done a lot of research and have spoken to some of the top autograph dealers in Australia that have given this company a thumbs up. I have also spend hours on the phone with the owner and manager of Wicked Memorabilia, who seem very sincere to me. They have started a huge campaign to rid Australia of forgeries and gaining some enemies a long the way.                        So for right now I will continue to use them as one of Australia's drop off points for shipments coming to P.A.A.S. in the USA.

If you are having personal issues with Wicked Memorabilia, I recommend you just give them a call or email and discuss the problems.
Thanks again for all your help.
So it's ok to talk about this type of stuff on blogs except when it involves you?

It's not just the jersey that is fake on their website and you being a authenticator would know that by looking at his site would you.

Just so you know things are being done regarding companies selling fakes in Australia. If you want to so examples next time don't use one of the small ones use one like this who is a major one seller:soccersigningsaustralia

You say you have spoken to some if the top companies in Australia which ones are they as there aren't many.

What campaign to rid fakes have they done as I haven't heard a thing of it. Do you mean when you point out that someone says something is fake they remove them?

I'm glad they seemed so nice on the phone and you researched his company. What's his name bay account name then?

I don't have a personal issue with them just people that sell fakes to or try to scam people by using real photo proof and put it with a fake item

Thanks again for all you help

Please help me stamp out forgeries, and I have no problem with you talking or exposing any issues you may have with me or P.A.A.S. - The only issue I have is the hiding behind the (AC) My name is Michael Frost my e-mail is Specialagent711@aol.com , My phone number is 954 450-4283, My website is www.paasaa.com.  My address is 11011 Nautilus Drive , Cooper City Florida 33026  I have been in the autograph business for over 31 years.  I am the lead autograph authenticator for P.A.A.S. and we have had over 8500 submissions already this year.  How is that for transparency???

Are you an Autograph Authentictor?  What is your name, website and email address?

Hi Michael,

You don't know me personally, but our fund raising charity events used you over approx 10 -15 items for Authentication in the past , Further more, you services were recommended by several  organisers ( whom have also used you for Authentication)

I really would not pay any attention , nor give anymore time  to the Troll ( AC ) whom seems insistent on dragging your name and business through the mud...

He is an obvious competitor, who seems to be on the brink of losing his business.

I will continue to use your Company and applaud the professionalism of your responses to the AC Troll.

Well Done...

Ben

I am not having a go at business except you seem to be ok to work with companies that sell fakes.

I don't care about who you are at all so don't get all defensive why not answer my other questions.

Just so you know if you want some details about the signing session with the Man united shirt I can tell you as I know the company that actually did the signing in the UK. I can even tell you why Rooney didn't sign the shirt.

I don't have a website or business I have just been fortunate enough to meet the right people in this industry.

Iam a Fund Raising Charity organiser from Perth Western Australia.  Iam a long time watcher of Autograph magazine, and have been collecting / Fundraising  Memorabilia for over 10yrs.   I would like to ask This Person  or KEYBOARD WARRIOR   AC  ( who is from Australia,  yet has a US postcode ?? ) what are your credentials in Memorabilia.   I have watched you try to destroy certain Australian Business's as well as publicly doing your best to de fame PAAS Authentication,   All whilst hiding in the shadows of not even saying who you really are.... ?  How can anyone like your self be taken seriously , when you hide behind your keyboard... slandering respectful business's.   I have run over 30+ Top End Black Tie Charity Events and have used PAAS on several occasions.  I have bought items from 'Top Rated 100% feedback' Ebayers to only find that I have been conned.  Mr Frost has Passed and Failed several items I have purchased externally and through Ebay.   I find PAAS Authentication  Courteous, Professional and a Company that know what they are doing.   AC ( Nice Name) you are an obvious competitor / hater who is doing it tough,  but enough is enough... Again come out of the shadows and tell everyone who you are, what your expertise is .......  AC    " Success Breeds Hate"....   and you are a true Troll that fits the Word 'Hater'   -   you sir are a true Loser.

Ben Johson

"What are your credentials in memorabilia"

I see this asked a lot. Would you know what good credentials are? Is it a bunch of night classes at a remote community college, self proclaimed studies, conferences and use of words like forensic and analysis that make you oooh and aaaah? Or is it the hologram stickers and COAs that convince you?

Best authenticators I know are those who most would consider have no credentials. How do you give credentials to years and years of experience?

Very good, and I do agree but the classes and studying does add to the credentials. Nothing takes the place of experience and knowledge. In this cases the question has been asked to a bloger who is not using a name nor giving any information about his experience.

AC is going after a company in Australia by saying everything is fake including items authenticated by JSA and PSA/DNA. I do not know how I got in the middle of this fight but I have not even seen one item that AC is refering to?

I saw all that Mike. Not sure why somebody making an accusation wouldn't use his real name. I would but that's just me.

I looked at the site when this first posted and a photo was removed from the website. I don't understand how that's PAAS fault or problem. There are a ton of submission points in the US for PSA and JSA where the dealers sell bad stuff. The submissions being collected are from private collectors and have nothing to do with what the dealer is selling. Unless you are authenticating the dealers stuff I'm not sure why this guy thinks it concerns you. Odd thread all the way around to me.
The point I was making was the guy stated on his site was he had an exclusive deal with PAAS and he was selling fakes which is not good if you are the owner of PAAS as it damages is brand.

I never questioned a single item that had JSA, PSA or PAAS authentication. Read the thread. So there isn't an issue at all with the Man united shirt? I know the person that did the signing.

So if someone questions anything that might upset you because it does go along with you they are full of s***?

Please tell me how the issue I have about the man united shirt doesn't make sense.
