I'm sure we've seen the signed Hofner McCartney bass guitars. In the event of his passing or retiring, etc. would they likely be worth $15-20k? (I'm referring to PSA/DNA certified guitars).

I don't think so. Below is one that sold for only $4K, saw another one for $8k. Maybe as high as $10K. Not sure how much value would be added due to his passing, that is speculative and would be based on an auction by auction basis, but usually values of people who pass away come back down once the hype subsides. Still I don't see $15K-$20K. On a personal note I think it's a waste, you could get an entire set of Beatles signatures for far less and then just buy yourself a Hofner and have money leftover. It doesn't make sense to me, but to each his own.

No, I just mean an entire set of Beatles Autographs from 1963-1964. IMO that is way better than some modern McCartney signature on a guitar, but again, everyone has different tastes.
