HI everyone. I recently got the thumbs down from PSA/DNA authenticators, saying it couldn't pass authentication.

In 4 hours they returned it to me saying it couldn't be authenticated.

I think it is, I've done quite a bit of comparisons to other ones, like ones already PSA proved. But according to them, they can't speak to its authenticity. The person that I bought the auto from, a fellow on Ebay, swore to its authenticity saying he works at MGM and obtained the autos in person. He has agreed to give me a full refund if I want it.

What do you guys think?

Again, this is from someone who doesn't have much of a knowledge of either autograph, but here are my basic concerns with purchasing anything like that:

1) Was this available for sale after Walker's death?  The market most likely saw an influx of Walker forgeries, as is the case when any celeb dies young.

2) If it was after Walker's death, was it cheap?  That's red flag right there if so.

3) Just as anyone can make up a COA, anyone can make up a story. The two prime considerations show be the signatures themselves and the seller's overall reputation.

Regarding that last point, let me show you this signed CD I saw on Ebay.  Seller claims he got it in person in California, with almost no details on how, when, where . . .  But it doesn't really matter.  The signatures are so badly forged, that his assertion about getting it in person is a flat-out lie.

I paid 133 for it after his bout a month after his death. I figured id wait a little to let the demand die down. only good thing is im getting my money back right?!

Well, I honestly can't speak for either signature.  Those are just my "common sense" type questions/concerns.  We could take a look at the seller and give you our overall impressions if you want.

sure timureg is the username. he has all positive ratings, but im guessing no ones ever called him on his "authentic" autos

Is that the exact spelling on Ebay?  I can't seem to find any results.

timuserg apologies brethern

Ah, okay - Ebay UK seller Timuserg.  Not many autographs up for sale right now, so it's hard to assess his inventory.  But again, two more big concerns:

1)  Almost all private auctions.  Most of the time, private auctions are a major red flag that something shady is going on.

2)  The guy has sold an unusual amount of NCIS signed stuff.  Just strikes me as a bit odd. Actually, really odd.

can i ask why. wouldnt that mean that he might actually work at a studio where these kinds of things are filmed in LA? also how do you guys know that hes a uk seller? the item i received came from LA!

Actually, the UK thing was my mistake.  It does appear to be a US seller.

I think if you work at the studio, it's generally frowned upon to make a killing obtaining absurd amounts of autographs from cast members of a show you work on anyway.  I could be wrong of course.

They all have great stories dont they ?

tell me about it!

Sorry but the Paul Walker autograph is not authentic. I have seen a lot of his signature and this is not one of them.
