I was offered this Pink Floyd signed copy of meddle. I was wondering as to your opinions on this one. Thanks for your help.

By the way, as it happens I have a copy of Meddle for sale that was signed by David Gilmour just last month. PM if interested

I think this is fake, but I will say this. It's a really, really good forgery (if it is fake, I'm not positive)

Thank you for the recommendation Scott, very kind. Here's what I got last month. David is a posh English gent that went to Cambridge and I think it's reflected in his signature. That and the very different "D" is what is making me think this might be less than legit, however maybe the guy was very rushed. Even someone as laid back as David Gilmour can get flustered occasionally I suppose?

Hey David, here's another one I got to use as comparison.

I was just thinking about it. I was told that this was signed by signed by the late Richard Wright, Roger Waters and Nick Mason. Signed on their particular solo tours. David Gilmour did not sign this. Does this change your thoughts.

Drastically changes them David lol

Does this make you more comfortable with it. Still need something signed by David Gilmour though!

David

I probably should have added who I was told it was signed by as I can see how that could get looked as David Gilmour.

For what its worth here are the signatures in my collection I refer to when I am looking to compare. They were not rushed so they look a little different than what someone would get on the street. However the basic style is the same.

So in the end with all the information, does this change any of your opinions on it. If one of the music authenticators opines on it being authentic would that change the opinion. Just asking before I pass. Although if there is so much concern I am probably better off not getting it.
