PSA DNA verification website showing a different item than what was authenticated - Why?

Hi,

I am considering bidding on an autograph on eBay and the seller has photos of the item (see first photo below) -- it is a signed album.  He also has a photo of the PSA Letter of Authenticity (second photo).  When I put the number on the letter of authenticity into the PSA verification website, however, they display a different signed item (third photo) which is a signed magazine.  However, it does say the item verified is a signed album.  Did PSA simply make a mistake and display a photo for a different item on their verification website?  I'm inclined to think that's the case seeing that the website does state the item should be a signed album, and not a magazine as shown.

Contact psa dna, they should be able to answer this. COA looks legit and sticker doesn't look tampered with. I had a switch up with a signed baseball with JSA that they corrected. They have so many items something like this is bound to happen. Hopefully it's an honest mistake.

After I posted this realized your post was from Dec12....what happened with this?

probably an error in the photo on the verification site.  the actual cert reflects the item that is for sale.

What does it mean when you put in the verification number and no item is found at all?  Are there fake PSA stickers out there?

This happened to me one time. I called PSA and they said it was a fairly new item and it takes time for them to add it to the website.

probably a clerical error.  you should call PSA directly.

I have contacted PSA and they have updated their database with my 2 items after I sent them the scans.  They explained they do it all manually and are very behind in certifications.  Thanks for your help.
