question about vintage silver print photographs

I have my eye on a vintage silver print photograph of an actess in a movie still pose.  There is no autograph attached to the photo but the picture is indeed a classic.  I have read that vintage silver print photographs is like a dying artform but with remarkable results because numerous hours have to be spent in the darkroom for these type of photographs.  There are digitally constructed photographs that rival the quality of the vintage silver photographs but at the fraction of the cost of producing the latter.  The seller wants around $300 for this vintage silver print photograph which is quite expensive.  Is it worth buying such an expensive photograph when there digital versions that cost less are available?  Are vintage silver print photographs have more intrinsic value overall?
