Hi Jake,

On this one i just dont know. On a piece like this id ask Roger. His proof pictures sure are convincing, but i dont feel comfortable opining. I checked out his other selling feedback and i didnt see anything suspicious.

I did notice one thing though, and this could be just an illusion, but on one picture it looks like the number of Stars on the proof guitar are off. Look at the photo of Jagger signing. And focus on the stars. First start at the tailpiece and you will see that in the main photo that Joey posted, the tailpiece cuts across a row of stars. Go to the next row of stars directly beneath that one. They are running diagonally. In the proof photo Joey posted their are 7 stars in that row. Yet look at the proof photo where Mick is signing. In that same row, it appears that it only has 6 stars. That could be an illusion, but i have looked at it many times now, and it appears that the guitar Jagger is signing has 6 stars in that row, and the photo Joey posted, has 7 in that row. Is anyone else seeing that? I dont think im going crazy here but i might be. I also checked the Richards proof photo, and it too appears to show only 6 stars in that row. But the proof photo Joey posted clearly has 7 in that row.

And if i am right, then obviously a bait and switch is at play.

I don't know the Stone signatures all that well, but the first two things that stood out were the incredibly low starting bid and the godawful quality of every photo except the one Taylor's in.  I've seen bigfoot photos more conclusive.

Proof aside, I'm interested in people's takes on the signatures themselves.

I noticed the exact same thing Rich about the photo quality. AFter finding that star discrepancy between the 2 guitars, my honest opinion is that the guitar being signed in those pictures (besides Mick Taylor pic) isnt the same one being offered. The guitar sigs could be legit, but the evidence seems to point to the conclusion that the guitar being signed in those grainy photos, isnt the same one for sale above. Or maybe this could be a photo shop job. I dont know. But i swear that the number of stars is off between those 2 guitars in certain rows when compared. But like i said i could be going crazy.

And before someone brings it up. If Mick Taylor did indeed sign this guitar, i would highly highly doubt that he would notice if the other signatures were forgeries. Especially if they were half way decent forgeries. Artists just dont typically have anywhere near that expertise when on the run.  Kissdestroyer1966 couldnt wrap his head around the fact that gene simmons told him some kiss signatures were real that were indeed fake. So if that proof photo of Taylor is real, it doesnt really explain some other things i have noticed in the photos.

But i am interested in what others say about the authenticity of the signatures aside form the guitar. I am not good enough to comment on them. I am very interested in this one. And that price is very very low for authentic sigs

I also notice that it stated that Jagger, Richards and Watts signed it in 2002 but the photos of them signing is printed 2010. Hummm!

I think that's just the seller's "watermark," not a real timestamp of any sort.  But yeah, I don't recall photography being that bad 10 years ago.  Those look like newspaper clippings from the 80's.

Yeah!  plus Jagger doesn`t have much lines in his face, could be from the 80`s. Studying the photos it appears that they are signing the guitar in the right area. I guess  they did at one time sign a US flaged guitar and this fellow (POSSIBLY) forged the signature on another model and use old photos as proof, and got Taylor to signed and passing it at all autographed by the Stones.

i think you hit the nail on the head jake

Don't the pics feel a bit like the American Royal Arts photoshop fakes?

Rich took the words out of my mouth. I certainly wouldn't feel good enough about the guitar to purchase it. The signatures look like good forgeries to me.

If it seems too good to be true it usually is!

Also suppose to be signed on the neckbrace by Bill Wyman and the back brace by Charlie Watts, so Watts signed twice . Posted a photo.
