I'm not sure how I ran into this awesome signature study about Roy Rogers on YouTube, but it's worth checking out:

Based on those videos, it appears to me that these eBay autographs with PSA/DNA authentication are secretarial:

My guess is that at least some of the exemplars that PSA/DNA uses are well intended as authentic, but actually secretarial. It's not hard to see how this can be a rough trade when watching the attention to detail paid by the expert in the videos. I wish there were more like him!
