I have a letter from Samuel Eliot Morison to Bertus H. Wabeke dated May 17th, 1941. This letter is typed yet signed on Harvard University paper. The paper has a watermark reading Harvard University with a seal of sorts underneath. The letter heading reads 'The Great Admiral: a Life of Christopher Columbus'. As well as, 'Also: The Second Voyage of Columbus (1939)',  'Portuguese Voyages to America (1940)', 'Journals of Columbus and other Documents'. Across the sheet it reads, 'from S.E. Morison', 'Harvard College Library, 417', 'Cambridge, Massachusetts', 'May 17th', '1941'.  S.E. Morison writes of his willing to write to a 'Mr. Shipley', but doesn't think he will give Bertus Wabeke the passport he is wanting. As well as, and with a dry sharp tongue, the offering to Bertus Wabeke, a chair on the Faculty of Arts at Batavia. Moving on.. the letter is signed S.E. Morison and looks to be true. I found this letter in a 1942 hardcover of Admiral of the Ocean Sea. Of which Morison won an Pulitzer for in 1943. I'm just not sure what to do with this, but it seems pretty cool in my eyes. Any direction or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
