Any chance this could be the real thing? I'm thinking the signature is a possibility, but I've never seen the 'Best Wishes' part so sloppy like that, so that actually might lend more proof that it could be real as a forger would probably try to make it neater? Just a thought....Thanks!

I'm with you. I got a signed book from Coles a year ago and the signature looks good. The inscription however looks very odd indeed.

Thanks Ben for the reply. You wouldn't mind posting your example for a comparison?

At least we'll know for sure that yours is real ;)

Of course :) here you go!

The signed page looks good to me Greg, just a quick in-person example.

I like it.

Thank you gentlemen. I was able to find a couple of examples of his messier 'Best Wishes' like in my example, and the Sean and capital 'C' are quite typical as well. The only thing that I was questioning was the run on 'spikes' (as I like to call it) in the 'onner' portion of Connery. When its a sit down signature you will typically see all the letters formed nicely, but in rushed examples such as this, it usually appears as 'Cuuuuuy'. However what I haven't been able to find is another example such as this where it looks more like 'Cvvvvvy' (more 'spikey' than 'wavy'). Hope that makes sense. Have you guys ever seen it? Or would you go by the fact that the rest looks good, and has the right 'feel' to it to just chalk the 'vvvvvv' portion up to a rarer version of his signature? Thanks again!

Ok guys...here's another one, dated 1982, which I'm thinking has promise? Just wondering what others think? Thanks!

Anyone watching this thread anymore? If not I'll post separately...just wondering about this one...I'm thinking it has a good chance at being real?

Greg

I just started a James Bond 007 group and waiting for approval

Bond and Bond girls and all characters will never die, so I think its apropriate to have a special group. Plus I grew up on it and still love it after 40+ yrs

It's better to post each item separately as people lose interest in threads. Unless its big drama haha

You're picking out some great Connery's but I'm not the resident expert.

That looks real but no expert on Big Tam.
