This isnt exactly related to autographs, but I am trying to return an autograph I purchased for a refund. Ive never shipped internationally so I apologize I wanted to get a tracking number for proof for the dealer but for some reason the USPS, Fedex, and UPS are all charging at least 60$ for shipping, meanwhile I have purchased items from the UK and Europe at shipping prices half that cost.

Is there a way to ship to the UK without it costing that much?

Registered mail will be like $14 over the shipping cost you will get a tracking number but won't be able to insure it for more than $40 or so.

Just a side bit of advice, customs forms will have to be filled out, and if you put a high value on the package he will have to pay fees.....and may refuse the package.

Seeing as this is likely the Ford fake? keep the value to a minimum, like $20 or soon the package forms.

Yes it was deemed not genuine so I was going to do $20.

One question- if I go to the USPS I should just ask them to ship it registered mail and it will be $14? When I went earlier they didnt even mention registered mail as an option and asked for $60.

The $14 is the registered mail fee, shipping first class international will be another fee $5 -$10 depending on weight.

You will have to fill out the form for customs and the form for registered mail, the package has to be sealed with paper tape like masking tape so they can barrel stamp it.

but $25 is better than $60

Thanks Pete. Ill head over tomorrow and mention registered mail option to the USPS and Ill mention the $14 fee. Hopefully that'll work and it wont be close to $60
