Get a clipboard and some rubber bands to hold it in place...

Hey Sam.  I have gotten several football/soccer shirts signed by entire teams in person.  The best way (easiest as well) is to take a piece of sturdy cardboard and place it inside the shirt so that the signing surface is flat.  The signatures will come out well and it'll be easier for the players to sign.  Good luck!

He is using a Wood Embroidery Hoop designed to hold fabric tight while people do needlepoint etc.

The sturdy clipboard or cardboard inside the shirt will do the same thing, and not leave a ring impression in the fabric.

You don't need to be playing with an iron after the item is signed to flatten it all back out.

Ok thanks for the advise chaps, much appreciated
