Hi Friends,

In my latest blog for Forbes I show a SP, High# 1966 Topps Choo Choo Coleman I had him sign at a New York show four years ago.

My main source says it's a good idea to have HOFers sign. They are even hot right now. But not commons because collectors trying to complete the sets don't care.

What about the HOFers? Are their signed cards gaining in popularity?

Thanks very much.

For sure! The bigger stars are best. I have collected cards all my life and say if you had a jordan rookie and got it signed you would have a much higher value. Also it depends on the specific card etc.

Thanks, Heath. What are some of the best cards you have in your collection? Have you acquired any in person?

Also if you had commons this comes in handy when someone is putting together a whole set autographed. Especially a set that is popular such as the 1986 Fleer basketball set.
My prized possessions for cards is a 1986 fleer basketball set graded all psa 9.

And a 1996 topps chrome basketball refractor complete set with all the top players graded a psa mint 9.

I have a lot of nice kobe and Jordan's way too many to list.

As far as in person autographed cards no. I. haven't had any signed in person. Do you you have a prized card or cards?

I would have done the same thing as you & had him sign that card

For sure! Most of the signed jordan rookies that have authentic autos on them usually have a $10000 price tag and up. I'll take one of those please!
Here is my jordan.

Id so have him sign it if I could. I here he doesn't sign this card anymore only for upper deck on special ocations.
I'll attach my jordan auto picture this auto on the rookie card that would be sick!

I think, slowly, that HOFers who are deceased or getting there (shaky writing or stroke victims) are seeing a rise in value of their cards when signed. For example, I recently sold a Bob Doerr signed rookie card. Doerr's signature typically goes for really cheap, and his rookie card goes for $50, give or take, in low condition, but I was able to get over $100 for a signed rookie card.
