Signed Clapton vinyl, real or fake?

Hi everyone,

I bought this signed clapton album a few years ago. The seller told me that it was signed in 1986 or 1987. What do you think, is it a real one?

that was my immediate impression after comparing it to various samples of autographed items on ebay and the internet. Can't believe I have been thinking I had this signature for all these years. What I am trying to know now is who would have tried to pass this off as his signature is it is not even a decent fake. Maybe my ex was being bamboozled by someone trying to get some. Not sure- it was before I met her, but she might have fallen for something like that.

The only reason I bothered posting it was while researching it, I kept hearing how his signature is so often different and has changed quite a bit over the years.
