Hi all,

I recently ended up with this, a signed 7” vinyl of Don’t Look Back in Anger, signed by Noel and Liam Gallagher.
I was told that the person was a member of the Oasis Fan Club back in the mid-1990’s and this was offered as a purchase from the fan club, before the band became as big as they became, as a fundraiser for Justice for All, a homelessness charity.
The vinyl itself is a genuine promotional copy from the time (aged exactly like other vinyls that I have from the same time)
From the evidence I have researched, the signatures aren’t an exact match to contemporary signatures, especially Noel’s, however it seems that both Gallagher brothers’s signatures have changed since they first started signing items, and they both look like signatures similar to early items signed, such as postcards from the fan club, early lyric sheets and even the signature that was used on Noel’s signature guitar line, but not an exact match. Certain letters match, especially in Gallagher, and (hopefully you can see in the pictures) that the pen breaks and leaves double strokes too, specifically seen in the ‘A’ of Liam, which I hope suggests that it not an autopen singing.
I have researched this item and the charity online and have found nothing but this was from before the internet was widely used and therefore may not have existed by the time the fan club moved online. The fan club itself has a website but doesn’t seem too active since the band split up. I have tried to contact but the email box is full and emails are undeliverable.
What do we think? Any help would be amazing!

Sorry but not genuine in opinion not even close to early mid or late signatures

Example of early noel and liam

So these are the ones I’ve been comparing to,

this was hand signed in September 1995

And this went up for auction

The set list is a little later judging by the songs, and he loses more and more letters from his name as years progress.

I’ve also managed to find a fan club card from 1997, but this is printed, as you’d expected, and it the exact same signature as used on the signature guitar.

Liam’s is harder to trace but looks close to mine

Photo of noel from 1999 and set list from 2002

very bad
