Hello everyone,
When i first started collecting TTM i didnt know about sites you could send JPeg pictures too and have them professionally printed off for you. Therefore, i used home printed photos for the job. I would pick up Kodak Paper (glossy) at Wal Mart and print those off at home on my HP ink jet printer. Some turned out very nice, and a few were destined to come back with some pretty rare signatures on them.
Now that i have them, though, i am worried about their life span. I am sure these type of home printed photos deteriorate much quicker than professionally printed photos, but the oldest i have is maybe 2 years old. Can anyone else out their add their thoughts on this matter. Will these type of home printed photos last for years or decades if kept in proper conditions? Or do they deteriorate within 3 or 4 years? I am debating trying to send to these same musicians again with professionally printed photos but i have reservations about bothering them or them thinking im a dealer. I hope they will last if i keep them in binders in sleeves away from the light, but i tend to doubt it now that i know more than when i started.
I would appreciate any advice or knowledge.
Thanks so much
Carl
