The writing does look like his script so if it is a forgery then it is the finest I have seen. But is it live ink or a reprint? Is the photo really a Type 1 print from 1971-72? In the late 1970s there were many 8x10s circulating as inserts in books with printed signatures (I have a few myself - see sample, which is quite obviously a reprint). Without seeing it in the flesh I could not say for sure. Also the typos in the description are a huge red flag. Such a piece would be exceptional in the world of Bruce Lee autographs. In 25 years of collecting autographs I have seen exactly zero authentic Bruce Lee signed 8x10 photos from one of his films on the market. I have the new Genesis Bruce Lee book and there is no comparable autograph on display in the book. I have seen signed publicity cards for Green Hornet and a few other early images, but that's all. There are zero images signed of Enter the Dragon for example, except for one snapshot taken by I think a crew member. In my collection I have a signed credit card slip certified by Linda Lee. With this signed photo, you would need absolutely expert scrutiny and I would be deeply suspicious, especially if the asking price is quite low. Sorry can't be of more help. For comparison, see this site https://www.psacard.com/autographfacts/entertainment/bruce-lee/imag...
hi jdz, I can,t thank you enough for such a detailed reply, looking at the pic you sent the autograph is slightly different to the one I posted, have all the other 8 x 10 photos you have seen got exactly the same style printed autograph on them?
I have a couple of these photos that were inserts in a book with printed signatures (both exactly the same signature). You can find other stills from films around with different reprinted genuine signatures. This one you are asking about, I really don't know. But as I said, I have never ever seen an authentic 8x10 signed by Bruce Lee depicting one of his four major films. So the chances are not good. The real thing would be in the $20,000+ bracket. Be highly sceptical!
thanks jdz, I am sceptical but as a collector I get that what if excitment, you probably know what I mean, lol
