Just my opinion, but based on past observations, I would not recommend that seller unless there is no question about the authenticity of the signature.

How is he a registered UACC dealer if his items are fake?

UACC doesn't seem to run the tightest of ships.  I used to stick to buying items from UACC RD's to keep myself safe, not realizing that there were many types of dealers in the mix.  Some are very good, some are a mixed bag, some are just bad eggs that take a while to get rid of.

Honestly, I don't know his ratio of real to fake items.  The first time I ever herd of that seller was when I spotted an otherwise reputable dealer (I believe perhaps a UACC RD as well) selling a blatant U2 forgery that they had purchased from them, thinking they were reputable.  When I reviewed some of their inventory, they struck me as perhaps a mixed bag.  When I see them offering items I'm familiar with, they tend to be lower quality, rushed and somewhat questionable.  

Like I said, from the small sampling of what I've seen, I wouldn't feel comfortable with any purchase from them unless I had no doubts on the basis of the signature itself.

On the Petty itself, I'm not overly familiar with his signature, but that really doesn't look right.

Thanks for the invaluable advice Rich. That's kind of why I asked about this Petty autograph, because it felt off and didn't have the characteristic of any Petty's I'd seen. I alos had a look through the above dealers wares and as you pointed out there were a lot of suspicious items amongst some that look genuine, but that's not really good enough it! I'll keep on looking.

I agree with Rich. I have found that being a UACC dealer might, and i mean might, make me give an item a little more cred if i am on the fence, but not much. I have seen too many UACC dealer listings on ebay that were forgeries. Some are real good, but like Rich said, others just dont seem to care. But i think the UACC is still a good organization if they policed it more.
