It seems all links to UACC are now leading to a Universities in Illinois menu tree ? The descriptions under the search show collectors club, but still.   Thoughts or anyone else notice ?   Any sub menu or other link is the same.  Thanks

I hope it's temporary!

I had just been on the site a week or so ago.  Browsing Euro / UK and other Dealers.  Usually a UACC search gets it to pop right up. It does pop up, but the link leads elsewhere as mentioned. Thought perhaps to check around ?

As I understand, they are having some problem with the domain: uacc.org (which in a few days should be resolved) or unfortunately they closed the page for some reason not good! I am a member of the organization, as I understand that the UACC is a great weapon against counterfeiters. All collectors should honor and when possible join to help financially in this war (against bandits).

I have thought for a few years the UACC was a foundering ship. Most of the able bodied had left that ship for personal gains……no regrets from me. Back in the day I was a UACC collector of the year…..that and a cup of coffee…..The UACC's Tom Folenta was a friend of mine back in the day when I flew out to L.A. 4 to 5 times a year, until my health deteriorated. He envisioned a community of autograph collectors who would judge sellers autographs as real to other collectors…..etc……..sound familiar. Tom collected a beautiful collection in a few years. He called me his autograph guru…Tom is a top tier musician, and I wish him my best. With luck I can make it out to Burbank for one more meal at the Smokehouse Restaurant.

You mean the UACC is over?

ABlackmore, personally and firsthand I know nothing…..for 40 years I paid dues….I paid nothing the last few years……In my humble opinion…. the UACC let it go…….time to pass the torch……How many old guard are left……Darvick, Bomsey?????

I just reference the dealer's directory occasionally. No fond attachment either way . I did purchase a book once and remembered an email I had received from Tom Folenta.

Found it and sent him a direct question regarding the site. He was pretty quick to reply.

"Yes - Don, the site is just down for now - we are having a domain issue, hope to fix it in the next day or so :-) "

                                          FWIW !

:)

Is Al the President still? I entered 2014 when I started my collection. I bought this beautiful book...

The last time I saw Al was on a Super Shuttle in Houston, when Debra Paget bailed the show. I once drove to his shop in Mt. Dora…..Not too far from family home in Cassadaga. Always on top of his game.

Thanks for telling us David! I always saw the UACC as a serious and very important entity. But, I also understand the impermanence of everything. Nothing lasts forever!

UACC appears to be back up now.
