I thought this might be cool. Tell what concerts you are going to see. Let us know if you liked or disliked the show. Maybe show a picture, autograph, guitar pick, drumstick, or a cool story .

It is funny. I hate when I can’t get a ticket, I like to save them. But you are right, these tickets are becoming a thing of the past. I get them by mail when I can. No problem on these since most went on sale 6 months before the show.

I still request physical tickets when I can, but their value as souvenirs to me isn't quite what it used it be. Part of the problem is the relatively low quality of US paper tickets in contrast to their European counterparts. Plus, I absolutely hate Live Nation/Ticketmaster, so I can do without reminders of their dominance over the industry.

The Lincoln Hall/Schubas guest list method is actually fantastic because it keeps scalping under control - i.e. virtually non-existant for these venues (which are often cited as two of the best in town). You go to the show or you don't. You typically can't even transfer them.

Saw Aurora on Friday, who has blossomed into and absolutely phenomenal live performer. Highly recommended - she's really a special artist. She signed and took photos with fans after the show - video posted below.

Puss N Boots a couple nights ago. Good, small show. Interesting seeing Norah Jones without a piano or keyboard in sight.

Nice Rich!

Took my son to see Experience Hendrix last night and what a show this was. 3 1/2 hours, you never knew what you’d see next. Zakk Wylde played from every corner of the theater, behind his back, with his teeth, at the edge of the balcony. The lineup is unbelievable. To see 3 of my favorites Johnny Lang playing with Dave Mustaine and Zakk was very cool for me. Check this show out if you can.

Zakk

That's one where I stumbled upon ads from time to time but never really knew much about. Looks like maybe I should have paid more attention, since it's obviously a bigger show than I realized.

Saw Nina Nesbitt twice last week. Very intimate shows by a very talented singer who took a bit of time off and is now re-establishing herself as an excellent artist.

My own photos weren't too bad from the first night, so I decided to ask her to sign a couple.

Some revisions, but this is what the new calendar looks like:

April - Olivia O'Brien (M&G), K Flay, Bea Miller (M&G), Alice Merton

May - The Greeting Committee, Mogli, Florence & the Machine (may opt out)

June - Dido (M&G), Bishop Briggs, Charley Bliss

July - Yungblud

August - Lollapalooza (Bishop only fest-wise) - hoping for Maggie Rogers, Bishop, Sigrid, etc aftershows

Won free tickets to the Pixies on Monday. Good band, but honestly not my favorite thing. That particular era/genre of music is really hit or miss with me.
