What do collectors who DO NOT live in the USA think about 3rd party authentication?

I was just wondering what the collectors who live outside the USA think of 3rd party authentication.

Is it just a North America thing?

I personally do not know of any 3rd party services in other countries. Are there any?

Comments?

Hi Michael
In the UK the only authentication service I know of is called Authenticate it, their website can be found at http://www.authenticateit.co.uk/
I must admit that I have never seen anything being offered for sale that has been authenticated by them, and so am in no position to comment as to the reliability of their service. They are a member of AFTAL and this should count in their favour.
With regard to JSA and PSA/DNA I only really take notice of this kind of thing if I do not know the dealer and they are not a registered dealer of either AFTAL or the UACC.
On E-Bay for example I would feel more inclined to buy something that has been authenticated by either of these organisations if the seller was completely unknown to me (and uncommented upon in this forum), than another seller who just claims items are authentic with no way of backing up their claims.
