I don't like it either. I looked at the earlier examples but this looks like the pen flow has stopped a couple of times and is drawn slowly.

He used to write with those "pen stops" as you can see here.

I agree. This looks way off, even comparing to the seventies examples. The flow of the signature doesnt look right at all and it appears drawn slowly. And as Dan pointed out, their appear to be several starts and stops.

its mostly about the flow and the shakiness. it looks like was drawn instead of signed fluently.
