It looks like to me it was signed in a hurry, but i cant tell for sure, but i would say its good. The Axl, Adler, and Duff look spot on, so thats a good sign. On the guitar you posted earlier none of the sigs really looked good. I cant tell for sure on the slash since it looks really rushed, but the other signatures looking very good would give me the confidence to bid on the guitar if i wanted it and at a good price. You might want to have roger look at it if your considering purchasing it, but i think it looks good. I dont know why someone would go through the trouble of getting Axl, steven, and Duff, and then forging slash. But anything is possible. Izzy i cant really comment on as i havent seen a ton of examples on him to compare with. I have one in my collection that i bought from roger but i dont know about him enough to say anything their. But i have seen items like these from Slash before where they sig was a little more atypical than the ones we normally see. The sunburst guitar you posted, their is just something off about the slash (just focusing on him), and definetly the skull beside his name. Thats just not how he does it, thats not much of an explanation i know, but i cant explain it much any other way. I have a ton of slash's in my collection and alot of the other guys from GNR as well and if you need any examples dont hesitate to ask. They were all IP or Psa/Dna certed.
Hope this helps, but id wait for others to input just to be sure. But i think the guitar looks good. And if the seller is autographpros, then its def good.
the sunburst guitar was claimed to have been signed in 1988. It does look like an older guitar in person having some of the white parts looking to have yellowed a bit. Most of the sigs I see are recent ones. I did find a postcard from 1987 that each member signed and the sigs look different than what they sign today so they do change over time. I like the looks of the Slash on the sunburst guitar more than the black one. I am not sure if Slash changed the way he draws his skulls. The thing that makes me suspicious of the sunburst is the nicely spaced out location of each sig, they are all signed in the ideal spot which I have rarely if ever seen. It does have a hologram that is starting to lift due to age on it as well, but the original LOA was lost. The whole story of the guitar seems to line up as possible. It just makes me wonder when I see a sig like the black guitar get PSA/DNA LOA and when I look at the two the one on the sunburst looks more authentic to my eye than the one on the black guitar, especially if the sunburst guitar was signed 25 years ago.
Hi Mike, what's your opinion on this Slash drawing ?
I'm pretty sure it has to do with a solo album he put out at the time of drawing this. I saw the album but I can't remember it right now. I do recall the skull sketch with the wording on the cover. Looked the same.
Hi Anne, Slash actually has that tatoo as well which may be where it came from. It is also present in kind of a similar form on his album "slash and friends". The writing underneath is RnFnR, rock n f##ing roll. And yeah, i agree completely with Mike, that looks like his skull that ive seen, just a kind of quicker version. But a nice one none the less. And just for any rock music fans. It is one of the better albums that has come out by any rock band in my opinion in the past 10 years. Some really awesome songs on it. As far as im concerned slash and friends, and the album, aint life grand by slash's snakepit, are just as good as any gnr album, and just amazing works. It boggles my mind they didnt get more air play. The solo on back and forth again by snakepit is just amazing. And the riff on beggers and hangers on is awesome. And on the slash and friends album the colalbs with ozzy, fergie, m. shadows, and the others are amazing. It seemed to me every song would be a hit, but it just didnt get much air time in the east at least. But his solos on that album are pretty insane. Especially on the song with m. shadows. Slash has always been able to go fast when he needed but i never thought he preferred soloing using alternate picking at extreme speeds, as he normally relies on hammers and pull offs to go fast. But he has turned it up in recent years and you definetly can tell he has practiced much more on being precise and quick per pick stroke. Just an amazing artist.
