Hi all. I'm new to collecting, so please forgive me if my questions show my inexperience. I have a choice between two Kobe Bryant autographs. I'm torn b/c I like the Kobe better on one, and the Bryant better on the other. The Bryant on the first one flows nicely, but the Kobe seems thick. The Kobe on the second one has much more subtlety, but the Bryant is kind of choppy. On the other hand, perhaps since the Kobe on the second one is somewhat light, it'll fade more over time, even w/ UV protection? Like I said, I'm new, so this is all speculation on my part. Also: one is numbered 9/24, the other is 11/24. Is there a general value rule regarding numbering? Please help! Advice is appreciated. :)
Really a matter of preference. If I had to pick though, I'd probably take the second one.
On the numbering front, I'm not sure how big a deal that is - especially when they're within a couple numbers of each other. I think if it was something like an edition of a couple hundred, the instinct would be to go for the lower number (possibly nicer signatures). But much of the time, it doesn't make a huge difference.
Thanks Rich. Any thoughts on whether that thinner auto will fade more over time?
