Nirvana will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on April 10. 2014. I just found out that they are not inducting Chad Channing. Personally, I think he should be inducted with the group. Anyway, Nirvana will be performing at the induction. Who should sing with Nirvana??

I think Grohl would've been best for the job but totally respect him not wanting to do it. I think the only person that could fill Kurt's shoes on guitar & vocals would be Buzz from The Melvins.
I vote for bringing the guy who forged the Nirvana guitar for sale by "thebest", up on the stage and letting him play the role of Cobain, and play the forged guitar while at it
It will be interesting to see who sing with Nirvana on April 10!! I can't believe that the R & R Hall of Fame is not inducting Chad Channing in with Nirvana. :(
Its too bad for Chad, but going by whatever criteria the RRHOF uses to decide who gets in, I don't think its surprising. I love Bleach, but I don't think Nirvana would've been inducted if that was the only album they ever put out. And honestly, I don't think Nevermind would've been Nevermind without Grohl.
They should just let the bands decide which past/present members get in. Like CJ Ramone. He didn't make any major musical contributions, but the other guys give him a lot of credit for breathing new life into the band in the post Dee Dee 90s. I believe CJ wasn't even invited as a guest to the ceremonies and tickets were so insanely expensive the other Ramones bought his ticket so he could at least attend.
Anyway, point is the RRHOF is a snooty little clique. In my humble opinion...
I'd rather see a Cobain hologram like they did with 2-Pac a year or so ago at some festival. It looked incredibly real. I don't want to see any other person even *try* to sing like Cobain.
gene simmons and paul stanley, since they're not performing with their own band
But nothing could compare to the thrill of watching Joan Jett, Kim Gordon, St. Vincent and Lorde take turns fronting Nirvana. Dave Grohl, Pat Smear and Krist Novoselic hadn't played a Kurt Cobain-penned song together since the frontman killed himself 20 years ago, and it's quite easy to imagine they never will again. Jett kicked things off with a wild, thrashed-out "Smells Like Teen Spirit" that had men in tuxedos dancing on their chairs. Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon kept the energy high with a faithful rendition of "Aneurysm" and Annie Clark (St. Vincent) belted out "Lithium." It wrapped up with Lorde's gut-wrenching take on "All Apologies." She was born two and a half years after Cobain died, but she somehow had the wisdom and confidence to deliver those agonizing lyrics. -:) From Rolling Stones Magazine.
