Caught 2 eBay sellers in blatant lies today about how they acquired their items
First is this pair of signed Michael Jordan 1985 shoes with asking price of 100k.
He said he's had them for years and that I'm an idiot if I think they sold for 400 a few weeks back

My bad. I was wrong...he picked them up for 385

Then this guy is selling these shoes he "thinks" Jordan wore even though they are too small. Says they've never been for sale publicly and were obtained by a friend of MJ...except I found the original listing where it says they were found in a storage locker lol

Why lie about that stuff when you can easily find out the truth?

So I was watching a beaten up old glove with a modern, shaky muhammad Ali auto. It got 0 bids so I messaged the seller asking how much they wanted. He wanted more than the opening bid at no reserve!!!!
Anyway, so I said that these items were auctioned at Juliens and didn't sell. He told me that I was wrong and he pulled them out of storage 2 weeks ago. I sent him the links of his items at Juliens....no reply

How have I attracted these liars in the last 25 hours lol. I'm thinking they are forum members reading this and having a laugh haha

They were probably fake anyway. Any real jordan fan will check eBay for autos and if these were real they would of most likely sold for double what he paid

Just me, or does $100k seem a tad, uh, unrealistic? I know it's Jordan, but seriously?

No more unrealistic than this goof who thinks his cleats are worth 3.3 million with no provenance other than PSA authenticating the signature.

PSA actually authenticated the shoes as game used

How they do that? They sit on the field with him way back when and watched him take them off? I'd venture to bet that didn't happen.

The shoes I'm wearing right now are game used.

Not saying they're authentic, just saying they authenticated them as game used and not the autograph. Since its a specific game, photo matching should be possible.

Still wouldn't pay 3.3 million for them. This goof thinks he's found the holy grail of sports memorabilia.

Totally agreed, but I wouldn't mind having them and sending them off to an auction house ;)

Might get $5K.

Think I'd keep them though before letting them go for that.

I'd bet it would go for more than that. NFL game used gear is amazing in regards to price. They'd break 5 figures easily in my opinion.
