I bought a nice Mavis Staples photo, thinking it was perfect for framing. After having the hardest time getting the photo out of the plastic casing, I notice the small psa/dna sticker attached on the corner. No worries, I plan on keeping the photo. I'll just peel it off. It just does not work that way. What was supposed to be a nice art piece, ends up delivered looking like a trading card. Why?, oh why?

is that what people are doing these days??

asking for the sticker to be put on back when getting stuff authenticated?

or is it just preference?

oh.. one autograph i have has a GA sticker (lea Thompson , one of my 1st autograph  buys) someone said it was OK on here.

will removing the tainted GA sticker increase it's value? ha.

Yep,.. tried taking it off, only to make a shredded mess. Scratched it to a white, then black felt penned in the colour. Of course it is slightly off, due to the hue of the picture. Still better than a stupid looking trading card sticker.  Now I have to get all Warholesque, and hand paint a black colour that covers the whole blouse.

I agree, stickers suck when they don't come off. Shame as it's a lovely photo

I think the stickler is ugly.  i would make a nice colour copy and peel it off.

I don't know if they sell it where you are but over here we have a product called Sticky Stuff Remover.  Its on Amazon UK if not.  Tyr that

Yikes, I will leave the stickers on my items. They generally don't bother me and will help value if my estate decides to sell my collection one day.

I hate all stickers. I would find a way to have a matte cover that area in a nice frame.

I always try to cover the sticker with a mat when I frame them. Whenever I get my own items authenticated I get the stickers on the back.
