Purchased this plaque several years ago and was hoping to get opinions (just saw another Mays post). Legit? Thanks.

For some reason,  I'm just not liking it.

Thanks John.

It looked like part of a series, but haven’t been able to find any information on it.  Got it through a local dealer (who retired several years ago) who bought and sold (mostly sports) memorabilia. Part of the allure was Mays in a Mets uniform and the homerun # was high (which made sense), plus the MLB logo. Just seemed like a lot of work for a forgery (at least that’s what I tell myself), but I’ve seen variations of Mays’ autograph and I’m certainly no expert.

It's certainly takes an eye.  A Sharpie can be a tough proposition, because it's signed thicker. Can't see the strokes or the letters as well. He also had so many different variations to  his autograph over the years. I'm still learning. I'm only forming an opinion here. You really need to talk to someone that  knows the Mays autograph inside and out. Or buy an autograph that's been authenticated. SGC Beckett, JSA or PSA/DNA

Thanks again John. I appreciate your honest opinion, that’s what I was looking for on this site.
