Would like some opinions on this Jeter ball. Old signature?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Derek-Jeter-Signed-American-League-Baseball...

listing says Steiner authenticated, but the sig looks a lot diff than other Jeter's. Is this just because this is an old autograph, so it is his "older style" signature? Thanks

I'm not you man on sigs, but many here will help on your question. I did find this very interesting. Posted by DB on Park West blog.

its hard to tell from this angle, do you have another shot that would be straight on?  the downward-shot image looks like the signature is distorted.

Whats up Andrew...check out what Barry posted...I have actually heard this now for the 3rd time that some one or somehow Steiner certs and or Holograms have been stolen or misplaced...there should be a picture of the cert with the photo which there isn't...not to take away from the item but it should be posted...I am not sure if this ball falls into that same category but I  have to say if its good or bad...I don't like it either way...If it is good why pay that price when you can one from his recent years cheaper from Steiner anyway...so that being said...I wouldn't want it personally...

Absolutely NOT !!...

what I heard and or was reading about with what my pal Barry posted is that Holograms went missing...not in particular with his post but in general...meaning for example someone has a unused SHEET of Holograms and could tack them onto any item...the sticker is brand new of off the sheet and if its on a "BAD" item the sticker in fact would not be tampered with so in fact if there is no cert with the item you cant just assume its authentic because of the hologram...thats were Steiner is losing money like the article mentions...
