Hello I wanted to post photos from this closed ebay listing of a LP signed by the original 4 members of led zeppelin to get an opinion on their authenticity. I attempted to bid on them but had my reservations since the price was into the 300 dollar range. The autographs are signed in multiple color pens which I initially flagged to myself. The actual buyer of the item has posted positive feedback for the item. . The seller has no affiliation with the actual signing of the items he has sold or other documentation but has sold an Ian Flemming autographed bond book and all 4 members of KISS autographed LP Cover and a Bruce Springsteen autographed LP Cover adding to my skepticism that he is trying to increase the price of his record collection by signing them.

Hi Rocky,

Can you post the sellers name and a link to their auctions? I have seen this Zepp LP before and i dont think its authentic. If its from the seller i think its from, he has been discussed on here before, and he made a fool of himself.

Thanks for the quick reply Carl, the same seller "terner9" is also currently selling a hendrix album signed as well which looks believable also....he seems to sell many records some signed others not.

Hi Rocky,

Well i dont think this seller is that same bogus guy i was thinking of. But irregardless, i still feel very confident that the Zepp LP is not authentic. And i am pretty sure the Hendrix auto is garbage as well. If it were real, the price would be way out of the 100s by now. I would stay away. I dont know where i have seen this album before, but i know i have, and i think its been discussed on here before. And when i first saw it, i thought it was bad then as well.

Now i could be wrong here, some of them arent junk yard fakes, but i still think they are off. A real zepp album signed by everyone would easily go for several thousand dollars. Yet this only went for 300? It doesnt matter if it had a COA or not, Zepp collectors are very experienced and always scouring the net for real full band items. If this were real, it would have most definetly been found by serious collectors and the bidding would have skyrocketed. Yet instead it went for dirt cheap.

I also looked around at the sellers past items and i see where everytime he lists an item as signed, he lists a bunch of question marks by it. And then states in the description that he has no idea if they are real or not. Although this could be a seller of Vinyl who just noticed the signatures and put them up for sale with no experience with autographs, it  still is fishy. It would be worth his time to have had the items looked at, whether he knew anything about graphs or not. Most respectable vendors would make sure they were good before offering them up for potential sale.

And even with someone who is autograph ignorant, a quick 2 second search of the net and common sense would indicate that a fully signed zepp album has major value.

I could always be wrong, but again, id stay away.

Thank you for your input, me being a new member here I appreciate your insight into these signatures. I will definitely stay away from these items and this seller, it surprises me one of his previous buyers hasnt given negative feedback since he offers no returns on these "autograph" auctions. I understand the fact that I could find an autographed album in a thrift shop somewhere and think its authentic but clearly on a national site like ebay I understand your critique of this seller since anyone with recognition of these bands would know of their value. I even looked at the sellers previous purchases to see if he bought the zeppelin album or hendrix albums only a month prior as blanks and signed them but I couldnt find evidence of that. I did notice his prolific buying of Highwaymen Records which makes me wonder if that will be his next signed piece and needed a few to try his hand on first, in case one of those pops up on here in a few months.

Carl, I agree with you 100%. I believe these are bogus. Almost passable, but still not right. Rocky, I'd stay away or ask Roger Epperson for peace of mind before making a purchase decision.
