pic is hard to see I know but people familiar with Steiner might know if this is a picture he signed for them. I need to figure this out and I'll do some looking around too but I might make a trade for it monday if I feel comfortable with it.

ok so I know he signed this photo for Steiner but what I don't know is if this is one of them or the same photo signed by someone else. The guy seems legit but I met him on  a site I had only been on for a day after posting some Mantle stuff. Is that a steiner logo in the right hand corner? also I don't see an MLB holo like some others I saw. I need to get him to take a clearer photo. I'll do that and post it on here when I can if no one can help with this one.

here is a much less blurred picture - I'm gonna say it's real now that I can actually see everything. Someone wanted to trade it to me for an extra Mantle auto I had... I figured that would be an even enough trade but he's pushing it wanting a 57 Mantle/Berra PSA2 and an ungraded 57 topps Billy Martin. I want the pic but I don't know if that is too much... I mean I don't care as much about cards these days but those two are nice cards (for me) and you would think a nice Mantle auto is worth straight up for a Jeter even if it is Steiner.

Now I can say it looks real as well. However, you'd be giving up too much in that trade. The ONLY non-Certified Autograph sports cards that are holding their value and/or are going up are pre-1973 singles (even fair-good condition superstars). Beckett once posed a question in the late 1990's: What would you do if you had a certain amount of free money (I can't remember how much they specified) to spend on cards? I told them I'd buy nothing but Good-Very Good condition 50's-60's superstar cards at 10% of Beckett prices as long as their were no bad creases (what good condition cards used to be worth). They printed my response a couple of issues later. Over the past couple of years 50's-60's cards of superstars graded or ungraded have been selling for 25% (or more) of Beckett High prices almost without exception. I say keep your Mantle auto and cards.

You can buy nice Certified Jeter ON CARD Autograph Inserts (with the same or better authenticity rates than Steiner) for $100.00 (or a bit less) these days. Can you buy ANY Mantle autograph for $100? NO!

the guy wants these for trade (pic inclosed) PSA/DNA Perez Steele masterworks Mickey Mantle auto, PSA2 57topps Mantle/Berra, 57topps Billy Martin, 1961topps Roger Maris MVP and a Allen and Ginters Masahiro Tanaka swatch. I would get the Steiner Jeter 8x10 auto a 93 topps Jeter rc and an AJ McCarron autographed leaf RC. Is it me or would I be giving up to much. I would love your opinions!!!! thanks

You can't post blurry photos like that and expect a respectable opinion on an autograph. It's hard enough looking at just a scan/digital picture (that is crystal clear) of an item and give an educated opinion on an autograph. You really need to see the item in-person to give a true accurate opinion. When an autograph is REALLY BAD only then can we give you a good opinion on a bad autograph from just a scan/digital picture.
