"Collectors should be especially concerned with jerseys, photos and single signed baseballs that have a hologram with GAI/Global Authentications on them."

Fake Sandy Koufax autographs and unlicensed collectibles are flooding the sports collectibles industry via the Internet and charity auctions at an alarming rate, warns Harlan Werner, longtime agent for Sandy Koufax.

“Third party authentication companies do their best and their services are opinions, ” said Werner. “Each company uses experts to review the item and render their opinion. Having worked for Sandy for nearly 30 years, I am quite confident that we have a better understanding of his autograph than any third party.

"Collectors should be especially concerned with jerseys, photos and single signed baseballs that have a hologram with GAI/Global Authentications on them. Along with the flood of fake autographs, there are numerous unlicensed items that have infringed on Koufax’s trademark being sold through online auction sites.”

Werner and his company Sports Placement Service Inc., previously represented Muhammad Ali and he assisted the FBI in the late-1990s to help stop the flood of fake Muhammad Ali autographs being sold into the market place, which was documented in the book , OPERATION BULLPEN.

More Koufax GA junk, this from a "brand new" seller on eBay, who magically has all Global Authentics "certified" items of every star. Imagine that. This is the "recipe" folks. Once one account is exposed, a new one simply pops up with the same old junk until they wear out their welcome. I have been watching this happen over and over for years. This is eBay seller overandback_sports

And that is just a very, very small glimpse of ONE DAY of ONE seller of this junk. There are hundreds of sellers like this on eBay, slanging GA junk all day everyday... This is big time folks.

Lets call a spade a spade ryan. Its not just some brand new seller with GA Junk its Global pumping their own crap out and putting them online.

Must've been a new "batch" of Koufax GAI helmets recently, here's another fairly "new" eBay seller mancavesportsaz who has any star you want on any item imaginable. Laughable.

Look how awful this Kershaw "signed jersey" is. This is a laughable counterfeit jersey, and an awful forgery. Of course, "certified" by Global Authentics...

Trout/Harper/Kershaw/Puig/Posey, you name it, any big star they have an "autograph" on any item imaginable, accompanied by a Global Authentics "COA".

Want a bat? No problem, eBay seller dsgn1423 has you covered, along with plenty of other GA items (imagine that)

Sickening.

Hi there guys, I have been struggling with this report mainly because of the autographs I my kids have received in person from Mr. Koufax as well as what "other" Koufax's that are on the marketplace that either are being completely ignored or Mr. Werner just does not like Global/GAI.

With that being said I would like to submit these gems for your examination/comparison and maybe there is something I am missing in all of this but I do not think so.

Many thanks Keith

Or how about these?

Keith are you asking about authenticity on these ones that you posted?

I've seen quite a few forgeries with online authentic's authentication which is the company Harlan started... So everyone should judge the auto for the auto not the COA

You brought up an important point, Carlos. Online Authentics doesn't authenticate autographs, it registers them. So their Muhammad Ali autographs submitted by Ali's company should all be fine, as well as any registrations they do for other ethical private signing companies, if they do any others. But I wouldn't rely on their COAs for anything else.

You're correct Steve.
They at least used to authenticate other players. I've seen a few michael Jordan's out there with OA coas that are bogus, they tried being a TPA for awhile. If you see an OA item just look on their online database and it will either say in the presence or physical review. That means people sent an item in.
I've also seen a few bogus Ali's from OA that were physical review, including a few Olson/operation bullpen forgeries....but the in the presence ones should all be fine

Any Op's on this Koufax? Cert says 1998
