I picked up a couple of signed books today at my local Big Lots store. I was able to uncover a signed copy of The Ghost War by Alex Berenson and Undead and Unworthy signed by Mary Janice Davidson! Great buys for only $5 a piece!

I picked up a copy of the book L.A. Outlaws by T. Jefferson Parker at Big Lots for $3. I bought it so that I could put my signed bookplate in it that I received some time ago from the author.  I think that it looks pretty cool! Now I want to get books for the other signed bookplates that I have in my collection!

I am looking forward to meeting and getting an autographed book from author Daniel Silva. He is lecturing at the JCC in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Bookstore, periodic lectures at local libraries, and other like venues are perfect places to meet your favorite author. Unfortunately, such event are not all that common. You have to be constantly on the alert.

Sometimes if you are real lucky (I am) I got Norman Mailer, Peter Benchley, and Anne Rice through the mail. It takes a little seaching to find their address.

I was shopping at the Salvation Army today and found a signed coy of Pandemia signed by Johnathan Rand and Christopher Knight! I only paid 59 cents for it!

Went to a book signing today and met Julia Frost. She recently penned a book called Images of America: Adrian. Which is my hometown! It was nice chatting with her as she signed autographs for both me and my youngest daughter!

No ttms today, so I decided to try my luck at the local thrift stores. I think that I did fairly well. I found 4 signed books and a signed cd. Here's a list: Seekers... Finders signed by author Kathrine A Douglas. The Fire is Falling signed by author G.J. Chandler Crimson Ramblers of the World, Farewell signed by author Jessamyn West. I almost passed this one up as someone had the bookjacket on it upside down. I turned the book the right way and found the signature on the inside front cover! The Making of a Man signed by author Lewis G. Robinson. Mr. Robinson's account of segregation in the south. Looks like a good read. Finally, I found a cd called Desert Strength by Sand Aid. This is signed by vocalist Larry Kneeshaw. This album was put out in 1991 and sent to the troops that fought in Desert Storm during our first war in Iraq. I feel very honored to add this item to my collection.
