Hi Russell,
This example of a Harlow signature does not look familiar to me either. I've only seen examples done by her own hand or "Mama Jean". What is the provenance of this item?

Hi Irvin,

I saw this item listed in an online auction a few months ago and although I have owned one genuine Jean Harlow signature and several "genuine" Mama Jean signatures, this particular example didn't look like either one. I sent a scan to R&R Auctions and Bill White said that, in his opinion, it was a secretarial signature that he had never seen before. I decided not to bid on the item.

I agree it's definitely neither hean's nor mama's. Who did it could be anyone's guess. Not worth the investment.
