Not sure why a 007 group wasn't created before, but I'm glad it's finally here! Why not get the ball rolling with the greatest Bond of all, Sean Connery...just wondering if this might be an actual one of his? Thanks!

Thanks for your insight Joe

Hello,

I have another Sean Connery question to pose to the group.  Does this album page signature look like it may be Sean Connery's and, if so, do you think it's authentic?  Thanks in advance for your insights.

Gregory

This, imo, has a very good chance of being authentic.

Thanks, Joe.  There’s a collector’s notation on the back indicating a date of 1982 (which seemed early to me for this downward slant version of his autograph) but then again I wasn’t even sure it was Connery’s signature to begin with.

It certainly is a Connery signature. I would assume this was obtained in person and is quite rushed. Not the best example. I wouldn't guarantee a TPA would approve it as it would be a borderline call. IMO, it is authentic although a "hard sell".

Anyone with an opinion on this one? I don't know if Sean Connery's autograph. Thinking about buying this one but don't want to get ripped off.

Hi Brian,

I don't want to lead you down the wrong path although I am skeptical on this particular Connery signature. There are a couple of issues which bother me.

May I ask how you feel about these three signatures? They were all authenticated by either PSA/DNA or JSA. The last one even got a grade of 10 but I feel like the C^^^^^^y part looks off compared to other signatures I've seen. Thank you.

All three are good in my opinion. The final one is fairly typical of the rushed in person street style. His signature varies wildly and the ‘Cvvvvvvy’ is pretty common.

Thank you for your opinion. Your autograph study is awesome by the way. Helped me a lot!

Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

This Connery is for sale on Facebook Marketplace well under market value. Anyone have any thoughts?

It looks good to me up until the “y” - I don’t remember seeing such a large upstroke before. It seems too high. Also, he usually signs descending and I’ve also never seen an ascending example like this.

Anyone recognize the COA? Unfortunately this is the best photo I have as Facebook Marketplace doesn’t seem to allow hi-res photos or the ability to save them directly (I had to take a screenshot).

Cheers

Fake, IMHO.
