I was -6 (born 1962) when the programme was signed so I didn't get it in person. I bought it at auction over 20 years ago. The collector who got the programme signed went to the Royal Film Performance every year (at least during the late 50s/early 60s) and got most of the key guests to sign that year's programme. The auction house sold all these programmes over a number of auctions but I bought only this one.
The ticket doesn't look too rushed to me. Maybe Marilyn could sign it on a level surface like a check-in counter.
Got you. thanks for sharing the nice piece especially it's from that night! unbelievable!
And yes I agree MM might sign it on a check'in counter. thanks.
Wow yet another variety in her signature, in person, and Victor Mature? Therefore the evening they were presented to Queen Elizabeth!
Brigitte Bardot was there that night too.
My friend saw MM when she was filming the prince and the showgirl in the UK. She rented a house in Surrey and my fried looked through one of the windows as saw MM sitting in a chair.
I used to be in touch with two of Marilyn's piano players, one was a young musician called to Marilyn's house she was renting with Miller in Surrey, they would run her song from the movie. He had just a pencil note from her on some music just signed M.
The other was her pianist from the Korean tour on her Dimaggio honeymoon.
