I'm attending an autograph siging this weekend and I'm planning on getting a couple of Chicago Bears throwback mini-helmets signed. I'm making the switch from silver Sharpie's to the DecoColor's. I've never used paint pens before and I'm wondering how much prep is needed? I'm going to store the pens tip down for 24 hours before the show, but I'm a little uncertain about how much the pens need to be primed? Is a couple of shakes good enough to get them primed or do I need to constantly be doing it when I'm standing in line?

Advice needed.
