Sidney -- I'm a huge boxing and blues fan as well. HUGE (just responded about some of the blues items in my collection in my blog section where you left a great comment on the Robert Johnson guitar).

Bo Didley yelled at me back stage because I asked him to sign a bootleg CD. How did I know? I bought it at a music store. His wife asked if she could have it, so they could sue. Diddley said "Don't take the mans CD, he paid for it." I said, "No, no...I don't mind. Why don't you just take the sleeve, though." I wish I would've had more items for him to sign, as he was signing guitars for other people backstage. But really...do you want him signing a guitar if it ain't shaped like a cigar box?? Not me!

    Great Bo Diddley story!

Someone who worked for me saw him at a hotel in Tallahassee...knew I was a fan...and had him sign an envelope for me. No bootleg handy.

Gotta see the legends while they're still around.  I so wish I would have seen Muddy.

And if you're a big boxing fan you gotta make a trip to the IBHOF in Canastota, NY for inductions one June.  There are so many great legends who come out and often relatively few fans.  Marvin Hagler garages a Rolls royce there just so he can ride it in the parade of champions every year.

Probably a big turnout next year when Oscar goes in. This year the biggest names are Virgil Hill and Arturo Gatti. Presumably Micky Ward will induct Gatti. Micky is here every year.
