Bottom card thru the mail in 70s or 80s. I have owned these for many years. The other 5 demond Wilson signatures pictured on my profile page are 4x6 cuts from books he signed. He is an author and has signed his own books for years, he has done book signing tours in the past and has often offered his signed books for sell on the internet. May I ask why u ask about em? Something suspicious to u? Do you collect and own demond Wilson signatures too? Please post em! Would love to see! I can't get enuff of that big dummy! Thanks for the mesage and ur interest. Mike

I loved Sanford &Son Myself.

I was curious because the in-person signatures are indeed authentic and match the known published

genuine exemplars, but the 4x6's looked like secretarial examples to me.

I know he signed books during book tours and he also sells them personalized off of his website.

Do you know if the 4x6's where obtained in-person or thru the mail when somone ordered a personalized copy?

And look at first 2 results. My signed books, I have had several, came from around late 98 and 99. He did book signing tour. I would call bookstore where he was gonna sign and would order a couple copies in advance and that was it. I would also confirm with the bookstore that he was there and did sign and it was all good. During that book tour, I did the process mentioned above w 2-3 different bookstores! And they all looked the same. I would assume if u ordered signed book from him today, u would get about the same, considering my book sigs r now 13 plus years old. I gotta a good mind to just order another! :-) hope this info is useful and helpful. I love autograph collecting and collect only things I love and do it just for the fun of it but of course I always have been very particular as to what i add to my collection as i don't want no junk!!! I try my best! Thank u! Mike

Thanks so much for all that great information.

I just want to make sure I got the book signing scenario right.

You pre-ordered signed copies from the book store, making sure Demond did show up and sign books in-person, but you yourself never actually stood in line at any of the book stores, and had the books signed by Demond in-person.

Have I got it right?

And with 1 of the bookstores that i bought a couple of these from, I contacted the bookstore a few days after a signing he did there and asked them about it and they said said yes he did the signing and we have a couple signed books leftover that he signed for the store. So i got a couple. Then I think i preordered the next couple from another bookstore where he was to sign. I'm seriously thinking of ordering a signed book from him online to see what i get :-)
