Real, fake, print, lithograph, watercolor, is signature right?
From my grandparents stuff comes a potential Chagall? I've looked at thru loop, I'm no expert but it looks the same as a real known watercolor I have from another artist. No dots. In my research I spotted same work but so poor in quality almost not similar. They called it a watercolor too but in the photos they provided it looked like a print. In the photo I post the one on the right is my grandparents copy. Could what I have be an earlier printing? Sotheby's replied to my submission and said they couldn't authenticate the author of the work. Really confused as to what next step to take. Worth mentioning I did take it apart to get a close look and it frightened me. I think signature is in colored pencil. Also on the back is another amazing piece of art that I have to find the photos of or take it back apart but I'll post them too. Any info would be valued. Thanks
Not Chagall's work or signature IMO. Sorry.
