How do you tell if this is an authenticate signature of Michael Jackson's? 

Michael Jackson signed ? Bad album cover - how do I (one) tell if the signature is real or not? Pretty sure we got this at my elementary school auction in the late 1980s... so why would a piece like this be auctioned off if it wasn't signed? .. but then again, did I sign it myself as kid? (Photos taken without and with flash.)
