Mike P.  I wonder if you went on the site and asked if you buy a book instead of personalizing it if he would sign an index card and send that with the book.  I will scan the book when i get it.

I asked a representative, and she said i could get it unpersonalized. I went that route. Ive asked around, and apparently Demond signs a book plate like slip that is inside the book. However, these people said that this was back in the 90s and it could have changed. i asked but no response. Maybe someone else will have better luck?

I hope it is not a bookplate I hate those lol.  Have had some presidential ones like that.  I hope yours works out good.

I got my book and he signed the blank flyleaf way up in the left hand corner.  I got mine personalized so was happy.  I started to read it and it is a very interesting book.  It appears to be glued not sewn binding so in the future that may be a problem but all in all I think well worth getting.  I am sure he will never be at a signing anywhere near me so next best thing is through the mail.

He did the same with mine in the upper left, I cut it out.  If you decide to cut it out, my only recommendation is to use a straight edge when cutting it.  I slipped a little on one side, but I dont think it doesnt negatively affect the piece as a whole.

I started reading it, and I could imagine Demond had to deal with a lot of bs from Redd.  He also said he hated All in the Family, which is understandable but interesting nonetheless.

I will keep mine in the book but I might buy another one from him and just have him sign his name.  I wonder why he writes in the upper left seems a difficult place to write unless he lays one book on top of another or something.   Oh there is a lot of really fascinating things in the book I am glad to have it just to read.
