Roger Waters IP 2014 NEW Wall DVD Obtained 9.16.17 @ Nassau Coliseum (in the rain)

Please note - this scan shows the thing in the contraption I made for signing the DVD cover - it is indeed mint and clean - that is just the vinyl from a spare cut DVD case that was for Waters to hold that is showing here.

A fan's story:

Yes! It seems I got up after the concert the night before, threw myself into a borrowed ride with literally 2 minutes notice, no ticket and no way home, grabbed the latest Wall documentary/concert ready from yesterday's non-signing event, withstood a deluge of rain on the line...but managed to get the DVD signed large in silver w/o getting it wet! The 12" x 12" 2017 NA tour flat seemed a truly bad choice in the rain - the DVD had a plastic bag so that was that. I said "Thank you, Mr. Waters" 3 times, but he was raving and drooling about eBay. Someone, after me, in a German bucket hat orange and black, tried to get two (he had the first signed - DSOTM LP) and Waters just drove off because there was a scuffle. Hat guy was thrown to the ground. This guy ruined it for the rest of those waiting. He laughed about it - said he was covered hotel and travel. Maybe Waters signed 12 all together. Kind vendors came out with tissues to help us dry our graphs. They left the doors open so we could hear sound-checks! I then waited for it to dry and started working on getting home safely (I did thank goodness). Got to hear a good chunk of sound checks too - Breathe, Welcome to the Machine and some bits of others. I din't think I will ever hear him again.
This DVD cover at 7" x 10" will go nicely alongside my signed Gilmour DVD!

The Wall 2014 is a British concert film by Roger Waters. Directed by Waters and Sean Evans, it captures performances of Waters' live tour. It premiered in the Special Presentations section of the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival. At the premiere, directors Roger Waters and Sean Evans were in attendance and received praise from those in the audience that night. Evans directed The Last Refugee video as well. This tour, The Wall 2010-2013, remains the largest and most profitable tour by ANY solo artist, ever.

Decent contrast, especially compared to the 2 LP's I have seen of this signed in gold. Good placement - large - I like how the signature plays off the spotlights in the image. Signed on a good bias too. Not overpowering but visible still. Signed with a good quality DecoColor silver paint pen (no sticking mess).

I am not going to get into another discussion of the "value" of various "qualities", suffice to say I collect licensed products signed (LP, Cassette, CD, DVD, promotional items, tickets etc.). This item was chosen to be signed with all that in mind, along with my own preferences such as the signature and item chosen being of the same date or close etc (and the weather). This DVD was only released in 2014/15, so this item provides a date window AS WELL.
Another reason I chose this is because Waters has stated he won't sign any photographs of himself ANYMORE. Careful study of this cover... reveals a portrait ;) Hehe.

I just learned this DVD contains the special reunion performance of Waters and Gilmour for Comfortably Numb at the O2 Arena in 2012. :)

It was a little sneaky getting to sign a photo of himself when he said he will not. But this was planned. I tried to get as much as possible with a single signing. I'm 48, he is 74 or 75, when will I get another chance?

Oh yes, some very kind very thoughtful vendors came out with napkins and tissues for us that had signed items to gently dab away and remove the rain spots with capillary action. I was saying "don't wipe the paint pen!!!". It was these kind vendor gentleman that let me listen to the sound checks, essentially indoors. One thrill was Welcome to the Machine with essentially no lyrics.

Another highlight of these sound checks was a superb very filthy solo on the "...he played a mean guitar..." solo bit in "Welcome to the Machine". Not like what I heard the night before. Nothing you'd play your mamma!

Some photos from this night - Pigs and Brain Damage, and an "inside" Brain Damage Prism photo by friend Nick (who had his Dad's 1973 DSOTM LP signed before I got my DVD signed) who sent me this:

Has anyone get any additional photos from this show/tour? Post 'em!

If you got a signature in 2017 please add it to this thread:
