Ansel Easton Adams (San Francisco, February 20, 1902 – Carmel-by-the-Sea, April 22, 1984) was an American photographer. He is known for his black and white landscape photographs of American national parks and as the author of numerous photography books, including the trilogy of technical manuals, The Camera, The Negative and The Print. He was among the founders of the Gruppo f/64 association together with other masters such as Edward Weston, Willard Van Dyke and Imogen Cunningham. He is considered one of the founding fathers of black and white landscape photography


Autograph type: Vintage glossy 5x7 black and white photograph dated August 17, 1964 on the reverse. Signed in black ink by Ansel Adams. Light smudging on "Adams" and scattered light creases. On the reverse there is a press review from 1964.
