Johnny Depp always has a strange way of signing things, he doesn't always stay to one method, though most of them are similar, so I'm led to believe. I've always wondered about this one, too, but it was bought through a reputable dealer, but even they make mistakes. If you want details, just let us know. Buying autographs through any dealer etc. is always a gamble which is why I go by the rules of autographs to ensure I am protected in case of disappointment.

I'm no expert in this hobby Rick, at all, which is why I follow the autograph code of ethics to protect myself, should an item be deemed a fake. I've always wondered about this piece being real, but as long as I have the necessary c.o.a./receipt (receipt being critical as you already know), then I can challenge it and hopefully get my money back. I've bought other items through this dealer which to me seem to be alright. Even reputable dealers get stung. I could tell you who the dealer is if you PM me but I wouldn't want to name and potentially shame where everyone else could see it unless there is good reason to do so.
