A lot of them came with the original envelopes from the penitentiaries of the inmates. It is my understanding that Charles Manson commonly signed many pieces, but envelopes were not included in this lot for his two items. I'm going to check with the lotter that wrote up this collection to see if he has a more in-depth answer for you. Thanks for your question, Rick!

Rick, spoke with the lotter; he says there's evidence of authenticity from letterheads, envelopes and reputation of the original collector. If you were to purchase this lot, you could have the Manson signatures authenticated by PSA/DNA or anther such company. Hope these responses were helpful!
